We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at University Hospital Ayr. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a supportive and supervised environment.
- Work collaboratively with registered nurses to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Develop and maintain effective communication skills to engage with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Contribute to a culture of patient-focused care, empathy, and respect.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine interest in working within healthcare and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Previous experience in a care setting or hospital environment (desirable).
- A commitment to patient-centered care and a respectful attitude towards colleagues and patients.
This is a fixed-term/secondment position until 31st March 2025. You will work 34.1 hours per week, and we offer a supportive and inclusive work environment.
