Job Title: Employability Coach

St Basils is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employability Coach to join our team. As an Employability Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting young people to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in education, employment, and training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver group employability programmes that cater to the needs of young people.
  • Build positive relationships with young people and provide coaching and mentoring to support their personal and professional development.
  • Assess learners' work and provide feedback to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct inductions and initial assessments to evaluate learners' attainment and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with project staff to ensure a holistic approach to delivering the programme and achieving positive outcomes for young people.
  • Contribute to the review of St Basils' Learning programmes and provide feedback to inform future developments.
Requirements:
  • Maths and English GCSE Grade C or Above.
  • The Level 3 Award in Education and Training or other relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Experience of working with young people in employability, education, and training settings.
  • Ability to deliver a range of different activities and utilise ICT packages.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges young people face in education, employment, and training.
Desirable:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance, Careers Advice, or other relevant/equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience of delivering basic skills assessments and knowledge of the welfare system.
