We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Mental Health team at Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections). As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering specialized Mental Health nursing services that enhance the well-being of those in our care.
About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Providing specialized Mental Health nursing services to individuals in our care
- Leading the professional growth of fellow mental health professionals within the Intervention and Support Practice Team
- Working collaboratively with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current Nursing Council of NZ Annual Practising Certificate
- Experience as a Mental Health nurse, with a strong foundation in cultural competence
- A proven understanding of the professional, ethical, and legislative requirements associated with providing mental health service care and treatment within a prison context
