Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Oncology Specialist to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with various types of cancer, working closely with our team of medical and clinical oncologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attending Consultant-led out-patient clinics and undertaking related administrative tasks and chemotherapy prescribing.
  • Supervising SHOs and ward patients, ensuring their care and treatment plans are up-to-date and effective.
  • Reviewing patients attending for chemotherapy and radiotherapy, providing guidance and support to nursing and radiography staff as needed.
  • Teaching SHOs and medical students, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance their skills and understanding of clinical oncology.
  • Participating in clinical governance and audit activities, contributing to the development of best practices and quality improvement initiatives.
