Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Oncology Specialist to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with cancer, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend Consultant-led out-patient clinics and undertake related administrative tasks and chemotherapy prescribing.
  • Supervise SHOs and ward patients, ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Review patients attending for chemotherapy and radiotherapy, providing expert guidance to nursing and radiography staff.
  • Teach SHOs and medical students, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Contribute to clinical governance and audit activities, driving quality improvement initiatives.

About Us: Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust provides general hospital services to a population of approximately 460,000 in West Kent and North East Sussex, with specialist services extending to a larger population. Our major hospitals are Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury and Maidstone Hospital.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient care, and the ability to work effectively within a team. You should also be proficient in chemotherapy prescribing and have experience in supervising junior staff.
