About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative ADHD Specialist Nurse to join our dynamic team in Children and Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS).

The successful candidate will work with patients with neurodevelopmental and learning disabilities, providing clinical interventions and assessments in different cultural contexts. The role involves working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver evidence-based treatments and promote the mental and emotional health of children, young people, and families.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate qualification in nursing and be eligible for registration as a full member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council. They will also have experience of working with patients with neurodevelopmental and learning disabilities, as well as providing clinical interventions in different cultural contexts.

Main Responsibilities

• Routinely measure clinical outcomes and deliver evidence-based clinical interventions in line with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidance criteria (NICE).
• Assess and develop plans of care to meet the complex needs of patients with a variety of conditions, including neurodevelopmental and learning disabilities.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver evidence-based treatments and promote the mental and emotional health of children, young people, and families.
• Provide clinical interventions and assessments in different cultural contexts, taking into account the unique needs of patients from diverse backgrounds.

About NELFT's CYPMHS

NELFT's CYPMHS is a dynamic service that provides a range of mental health and wellbeing services for children and young people. The service is delivered in partnership with local authorities and other healthcare providers, and is designed to respond to the unique needs of children and young people in our community.

The service has a strong focus on early intervention and prevention, and offers a range of treatments and interventions to support children and young people with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties. The service also provides training and support to other professionals and agencies, helping to build a stronger and more resilient community.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a graduate qualification in nursing and be eligible for registration as a full member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council. They will also have experience of working with patients with neurodevelopmental and learning disabilities, as well as providing clinical interventions in different cultural contexts. Additionally, they will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver evidence-based treatments and promote the mental and emotional health of children, young people, and families.
