Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse to join our progressive Health Visiting service.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to keep children safe and well by using their clinical judgment to support evidence-based care planning and ensuring that children and families have a good experience.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contributing to antenatal and postnatal care programmes
  • Completing HCP mandated reviews, packages of care and safeguarding
  • Supporting the supervision/line management and development of colleagues
  • Undertaking a range of competent clinical and non-clinical interventions to support the outcomes for families and the service
  • Attending and contributing to team meetings
  • Building relationships with colleagues to enhance the team working environment
About the Role

This is a community-based role, so the majority of duties will be carried out between your base and community settings or client homes.

You will have full and part-time opportunities ranging from a minimum of hours to a maximum of hours per week between 9am and 5pm.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with:

  • A registered health care professional (NMC registration)
  • A health-related degree and evidence of relevant postgraduate development at Level 6
  • Evidence of specialist qualifications relevant to area of practice - Specialist Community Public Health Nurse

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Experience in managing health-related projects/complex caseloads
  • Practical experience in supporting others (mentor/educator/supervisor) experience
  • Able to manage time effectively, prioritise and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Salary Information

Salary: £43,141 - £72,118 per annum pro rata, dependent on experience and grade.
