Becoming a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at Veritas Education Recruitment Ltd means joining a dynamic team that prioritizes education and student success.
About the Job:In this role, you will be responsible for supporting teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum and making a positive impact on student outcomes.
Key responsibilities include leading small group and one-to-one interventions, assisting with planning and preparation of classroom activities, and supervising students to ensure their safety and well-being.
You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other staff members to create an inclusive learning environment.
Main Responsibilities:- Curriculum Delivery: Support teachers in delivering lessons across the curriculum.
- Intervention Leadership: Lead small group and one-to-one interventions to support individual learning needs.
- Resource Development: Assist with planning and preparation of classroom activities and resources.
- Student Safety: Supervise and manage students to ensure their safety and well-being during lessons and breaks.
- Pupil Monitoring: Help assess and track pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers.
- SEN Support: Support students with special educational needs as required.
- Collaborative Working: Work collaboratively with other staff members to create an inclusive learning environment.
- A level 4 qualification in Higher Level Teaching Assistant or equivalent.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role (preferably in a school setting).
- A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and how to support student learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- A competitive salary range of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience.
