About the Job:

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum and making a positive impact on student outcomes.

Key responsibilities include leading small group and one-to-one interventions, assisting with planning and preparation of classroom activities, and supervising students to ensure their safety and well-being.

You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other staff members to create an inclusive learning environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Curriculum Delivery: Support teachers in delivering lessons across the curriculum.
  2. Intervention Leadership: Lead small group and one-to-one interventions to support individual learning needs.
  3. Resource Development: Assist with planning and preparation of classroom activities and resources.
  4. Student Safety: Supervise and manage students to ensure their safety and well-being during lessons and breaks.
  5. Pupil Monitoring: Help assess and track pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  6. SEN Support: Support students with special educational needs as required.
  7. Collaborative Working: Work collaboratively with other staff members to create an inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A level 4 qualification in Higher Level Teaching Assistant or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role (preferably in a school setting).
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and how to support student learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
