Nursery Practitioner Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Honeybees Day Nursery & Pre-school. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in our nursery.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement engaging and interactive activities that promote children's cognitive, social, and emotional development
  2. Provide individualized support and care to children, addressing their unique needs and abilities
  3. Work collaboratively with other educators to develop and implement curriculum-aligned programs and activities
  4. Contribute to the creation of a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment that supports children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development
  5. Communicate regularly with parents through reports, meetings, and updates, keeping them informed of their child's progress and well-being

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of a Level 2/3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, demonstrating expertise in child development principles and best practices
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting, showcasing your ability to work effectively with young children and their families
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing you to build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and children
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, enabling you to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
