A Home Care Companion provides for the maintenance of a safe and clean environment, performing various housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and companionship activities for clients in their residences.
At Right at Home of Lincoln, we seek compassionate and empathetic individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of those in their care. Our caregivers are there to help clients live their lives as fully and independently as possible in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities:- Perform homemaking activities, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions and may shop for groceries.
- Provide companionship for the client, accompanying them on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, and assistance with hobbies.
- High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
- Completion of a written Competency Evaluation.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
- Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job.
