Role OverviewThis exciting opportunity is for a Service Engineer to join our dynamic team as an Equipment Specialist. You will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, servicing, attending breakdowns and repairs, and performing installation and commissioning tasks while maintaining our exceptional standards of customer service, safety, and quality.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections and testing to ensure optimal performance and functionality of WPS equipment
- Servicing and maintenance of generators, diesel tanks, distribution systems, cabling, and associated ancillaries
- Attend to breakdowns and repairs, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime
- Perform installation and commissioning tasks, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems
- Maintain accurate records and timesheets for all transactions
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Excellent customer service skills, delivering tailored support to meet individual needs
- Strong mechanical or electrical disciplines knowledge, relevant to the scope of equipment involved
- Adequate skills for performing competent maintenance routines, whether in field service or depot-based roles
- In-depth skills for competent fault diagnosis, dismantling, repair, and testing of defined equipment types
- Hands-on experience in service, maintenance, installation, and repair of diesel-driven generators
- Competitive salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
