About the Role

Railpen Limited is seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Consultant to join our Technical Policy and Services team. As a key member of the team, you will provide pensions technical support to ensure the administration of rail schemes in accordance with their rules, pensions legislation, and regulatory regime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pensions technical support to the Technical Policy and Services team and other areas of the business
  • Acquire and maintain an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the rail schemes' rules and the wider pensions environment
  • Develop administrative policy and practices to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Work closely with the team to identify and address any changes in the rail schemes' rules and pensions legislation
Requirements

We are looking for someone with a strong background in the pensions industry, a deep understanding of the UK pensions regime, and general pension administration processes. You should have a general appreciation of scheme rules and pensions taxation legislation. Knowledge of DB pensions is essential, and knowledge of DC arrangements would be beneficial.
