Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audiologist to join our team as a specialist in adult hearing services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in rehabilitation assessment techniques and be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.

The role involves delivering high-quality Audiology services to patients with a wide range of needs, including those with profound hearing loss, tinnitus, and dizziness. You will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the service and working closely with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage and be responsible for the day-to-day management and organisation of the service being provided in consultation with the Chief Audiologist and Head of Audiology.
  • To work autonomously and as part of a team by undertaking all aspects of the service using a high level of clinical skill in all areas of assessment and rehabilitation for adults, including those with special/complex needs.
  • Participating in community and domiciliary work as required.

Requirements:

  • MSc in Rehabilitative Audiology/Diploma in Hearing Therapy or equivalent experience of counselling and degree/foundation degree in Audiology.
  • Registered member of professional body (British Academy of Audiology).
  • Specialist qualification in counselling skills.
  • Certificate to teach lipreading to adults.

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience.
