Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering clinical immunisation services to school-aged children in the Barking and Dagenham area. This will involve working closely with the Barking and Dagenham team to ensure the smooth delivery of vaccination services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality immunisation services to school-aged children, adhering to the Routine National Immunisation schedule.
  • Work collaboratively with Programme Managers, Team Leads, and Clinical Leads to ensure the effective operation of the School Aged Immunisation Service.
  • Attend sites across different locations as required, promoting and supporting the operation of the service.
  • Deliver evidence-based and competent care to patients, ensuring all clinical incidents, near misses, and complaints are reported and processed in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and the performance and development of staff, actively contributing to team meetings and Gillick Competency Assessments.
Person Specification
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Customer service and people management skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality care to patients.
  • Assertive and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and take verbal consent from parents and caregivers.
Requirements
  • Nurses and Midwives currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Nursing and/or Midwifery Qualification.
  • Computer literacy and ability to use cold chain, ordering, and arranging transport systems.
