Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our dynamic EWMHS team in Redbridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychological interventions to children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems.

The ideal candidate will have a post-graduate qualification in psychological practice and extensive experience of working with challenging children and young people. They will also have a strong understanding of the theory and practice of short-term and long-term clinical interventions in CAMHS/EWMHS.

The role requires a commitment to actively supporting and liaising with other professionals and agencies to embed a trauma and culturally informed model of practice within the service.

Main Duties

  • Provide an efficient and effective specialist psychological service for children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems.
  • Undertake a range of highly specialist clinical work, urgent assessment work, parenting support, and specialist cases.
  • Provide expert supervision and consultation on CYPMHS cases to other multi-disciplinary staff within CYPMHS.
  • Contribute to audit and research.
  • Actively engage in treatment and outcome monitoring, including the use of normed measures associated with CYP-IAPT.

About Us

NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks.
