About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our dynamic EWMHS team in Redbridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychological interventions to children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as family therapy and parenting support.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including medical staff, social workers, and educators, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of service policies and procedures.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training to maintain expertise and stay up-to-date with best practices in the field.
Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification in Clinical/Counselling Psychology and registration with the relevant professional body.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a CAMHS setting, with a focus on delivering psychological therapies to children and adolescents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and their families.
- Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health, including legislation and safeguarding procedures.
