Our Purpose

We are committed to delivering our purpose of Better Care for a Better World. Our sustainable practices support a healthy planet and build stronger communities to ensure our business thrives for decades to come.

The Role

This is a highly exciting role, sitting within our UKI IFP organisation and reporting into the Category & Commercial Strategy Director. The Sustainability Strategy Leader is accountable for defining and executing our sustainability agenda - ensuring our brands are first choice for consumers, customers, and the planet. You'll be working across both B2B and B2C channels with some of the biggest brands in the UK and Ireland - including Andrex, Scott, Kleenex and Wypall.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving UKI thought leadership, drawing best practice from external sources / other markets.
  • Keeping abreast with legislation, trends and key competitor actions.
  • Developing UKI Sustainability Strategy as part of SBP - delivering against consumer needs and KC corporate targets, whilst also helping customers achieve their CSR commitments.
  • Visualising strategy and creating compelling story to bring it to life.
  • Embedding our strategy internally, to ensure that everyone can confidently talk our sustainability story.
  • Engaging and inspiring key customers, building strategic partnerships at senior levels.
  • Working with relevant cross-functional teams to shape the plan, develop initiatives, and deliver against strategic commitments.

What You Will Bring

  • You are a champion and subject matter expert for sustainability.
  • You are experienced in defining and executing strategy, with a bias towards taking action and driving impact.
  • You are results-oriented, with an inquisitive mindset - you challenge the status quo and are creative in validating new ideas.
  • You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment and adapting quickly to change.
  • You have excellent leadership and relationship building skills.
  • You are an excellent communicator and storyteller, able to effectively communicate concepts and ideas to stakeholders at all levels.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering results within FMCG and working within matrix organisations.
  • You will be a highly competent user of Microsoft office tools, specifically MS Excel / PowerPoint.

What We Offer

We offer competitive pay and benefits to employees and reward excellence and performance. Our belief in promoting a healthy work-life balance drives us to support our employees' total well-being, offering comprehensive benefits not limited to gym memberships, private medical insurance, dental cover, employee assistance programme, cycle to work scheme, critical illness cover, travel insurance and a market leading defined contribution pension scheme.

Certain benefits, such as flexible work schedules and parental leave, can be tailored to meet specific individual needs, giving our employees the flexibility to manage their commitments inside and outside of work.
