About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled EMEA Sustainability Compliance Leader to join our team at Kimberly-Clark. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with sustainability-related policies, laws, regulations, and relevant standards across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with sustainability, legal, R&D, and marketing teams to ensure compliance with sustainability-related policies, laws, regulations, and relevant standards.
  • Stay abreast of relevant sustainability policy and regulatory developments, and develop and align appropriate processes and controls to ensure compliance and effectively manage sustainability-related risks.
  • Leverage IMF, capital planning/governance, claims review/validation, and other business processes to verify compliance early in the innovation cycle and as part of project execution.
  • Devise and deploy management controls validation processes and activities against key compliance needs and risks, and report on gaps and drive corrective/preventative actions.
  • Partner with sustainability and enterprise risk management to apply sustainability risk and materiality assessments at the regional level in support of sustainability strategy/planning and to enable legally required ESG reporting requirements.
  • Recommend, support, and monitor closure of compliance/conformance gaps, and provide status updates to key stakeholders.
  • Review, validate, and approve all product-related sustainability claims within the region, and drive process improvements accordingly.
  • Leverage digital systems/platforms to review and synthesize sustainability data/metrics, conduct trend analysis, and recommend systemic improvements.
  • Build capabilities and capacity with key stakeholders throughout the region.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced EMEA Sustainability Compliance Leader who is passionate about sustainability and compliance. You will have a strong background in sustainability, risk management, and compliance, and you will be able to effectively communicate complex legal or internal requirements to all levels, providing guidance to key stakeholders.

You will have a Bachelor's degree in science, sustainability, policy, or a related field, and at least 10 years of experience working in related roles requiring regulatory and/or risk management. You will also have extensive knowledge of applicable, pending, and evolving sustainability-related legal requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
