We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Decontamination Technician to join our team at One Ashford Hospital. As a key member of our Theatres & Endoscopy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist qualified nurses in caring for patients following surgical, investigative, or medical procedures, adhering to national guidelines, hospital policies, and best practice standards.
  • Coordinate the use of supplies and equipment during endoscopy lists and in the post-operative phase, ensuring safe and appropriate use.
  • Participate in the preparation, maintenance, cleaning, and disinfecting of equipment and procedure rooms.
  • Decontaminate equipment after each procedure.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum GCSE education or equivalent.
  • NVQ or equivalent, Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care preferred.
  • Care Certificate.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Endoscopy experience desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of decontamination desirable.
  • Understanding of GRS & JAG desirable but not essential.
