Position Overview: The Department of Gastroenterology at Ekhuft is seeking a dedicated and skilled Consultant Gastroenterologist to enhance our dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of gastroenterological care.
Service Highlights: We deliver a comprehensive 7-day Consultant-led inpatient gastroenterology service across multiple acute hospital locations. Our offerings include a 24/7 GI Bleed rota, specialist services in Nutrition, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Hepatology, Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) care, Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) Cancer, complex polypectomy, Bowel Cancer Screening, and capsule endoscopy.
Role Expectations: The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the GI Bleeding rota and will participate in a 1:8 ward week, which includes in-reach to emergency pathways. We encourage the development of specialist interests, whether in enhancing existing services or pioneering new initiatives such as GI physiology and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS).
