Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Dramatherapist to join our team at CNWL NHS Foundation Trust. As a Dramatherapist, you will be responsible for planning, providing, and developing Dramatherapy sessions for inpatients with a range of diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and develop specialist Dramatherapy provision for acute patients with complex presentations and situations.
  • Deliver individual and group Dramatherapy sessions using evidence-based approaches.
  • Contribute specialist knowledge to patient care plans through written summaries and participation in inpatient clinical meetings.
  • Work as an integrated team member, respecting others' ways of working and contributing to a safe and therapeutically sensitive environment.
  • Assess risk and adopt appropriate measures to maintain a safe environment when faced with challenging behavior.
  • Continually review patient emotional stability, use of therapy, and ability to work with others.
  • Work constructively and flexibly with people from diverse backgrounds, being alert to special vulnerabilities.
  • Manage time-limited therapy and refer patients to other community services as necessary.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism and proper boundaries at all times.
  • Integrate students into clinical situations while ensuring their safety and benefit.
  • Seek help from seniors or more experienced arts therapists to enhance clinical practice.
