About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Research Assistant to join our team at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the research requirements of the team, applying research skills to both the ongoing evaluation of the service and the development of content and enabling an expansion to a broader audience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive literature and market research to support the identification and analysis of existing mental health services and resources.
  • Contribute to a service evaluation to assess the effectiveness of current offerings and identify improvement areas.
  • Systematically identify and document young-adult mental health services in North Central London, creating a comprehensive resource map to support outreach and engagement efforts.
  • Research and write related to governing bodies and guidance relevant to mental health services, expanding adult-focused resources and sources of support to better serve young adults aged 18-25 and parents of minors.
Requirements
  • Psychology graduate or equivalent degree, with eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (refer to British Psychological Society website).
  • Computer literacy (Word, SPSS, PowerPoint, Excel or equivalents).
  • Research experience (beyond undergraduate project), experience in qualitative research methodology, and experience of working in teams.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable children and families, conducting interviews, and engaging with clinical professionals in an appropriate way in the collection of data.
