About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to support the Research Department of Primary Care and Population Health at the UK Dementia Research Institute. The successful candidate will assist staff with administrative tasks, including finance and general administrative duties.

Responsibilities will include raising purchase orders, monitoring expenditure on departmental projects and grants, and supporting pre and post-award research grant processes. The successful candidate will also organize and support staff meetings, management meetings, and departmental seminar series, as well as facilitate Patient and Public Involvement activities for the department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and reconciliation, with excellent IT skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office software. Experience in the Higher Education sector and/or using Oracle is desirable but not essential.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above, and experience of working in a service delivery environment as part of a team. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
