Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Employers Agent to join our team at Hunter Dunning. As an Employers Agent, you will be responsible for the commercial and contractual performance of projects, including contract administration, commercial procurement, and contractual strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Administer contracts, including preparation of tender documents, evaluation of tender responses, and negotiation of contracts.
  • Develop and implement commercial procurement and contractual strategies to achieve project goals.
  • Collaborate with the cost management team to ensure accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Provide advice to clients on development plans, including value engineering and value management.
  • Conduct design reviews and project reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Implement risk management processes to mitigate potential risks and ensure project success.
  • Advise on procurement strategy and prepare tender lists.
  • Prepare and issue tender documents and evaluate tender responses.
  • Prepare contract recommendation reports and produce contract documents.
  • Manage contractor interim payments and cost reports.
  • Manage variations and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, inspect work, and manage handover.
Requirements
  • RICS-accredited degree in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, or similar.
  • Consultancy background with experience in residential largescale new build projects.
  • MRICS or working towards.
