Employers Agent Role

Hunter Dunning Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Employers Agent to join their team in Wokingham, Berkshire. As an Employers Agent, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of mainly new build residential schemes in the Thames Valley region and down to the South Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial and Contractual Performance: Responsibility for the commercial and contractual performance of projects, ensuring that all aspects are managed effectively and efficiently.
  • Contract Administration: Administration of contracts, including preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts with clients and contractors.
  • Commercial Procurement and Contractual Strategies: Support the development and implementation of commercial procurement and contractual strategies to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Cost Budgeting and Appraisal: Assist with the preparation of cost budgets, appraisals, and reviews to ensure accurate and up-to-date cost information.
  • Client Advice: Provide expert advice to clients on development plans, including value engineering and value management.
  • Design Reviews: Undertake design reviews to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Project and Programme Reviews: Conduct regular project and programme reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure that projects are delivered successfully.
  • Risk Management: Implement risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects.
  • Procurement Strategy: Advise on procurement strategy to ensure that the best possible outcomes are achieved for clients.
  • Tender Lists: Prepare and issue tender lists to ensure that the best possible contractors are selected for projects.
  • Tender Documents: Prepare and issue tender documents, including tender lists, to ensure that contractors have a clear understanding of the project requirements.
  • Contract Recommendation Reports: Prepare contract recommendation reports to ensure that clients have a clear understanding of the contract terms and conditions.
  • Contract Documents: Produce contract documents, including contracts, to ensure that all parties have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Contractor Interim Payments: Manage contractor interim payments to ensure that contractors are paid on time and in accordance with the contract terms and conditions.
  • Cost Reports and Forecasting: Prepare cost reports and forecasts to ensure that clients have a clear understanding of the project costs and any potential risks or issues.
  • Variations: Manage variations to ensure that they are properly documented and that clients are aware of any changes to the project scope or budget.
  • Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, inspect work, and manage handover.

Requirements:

  • RICS Accredited Degree: RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, or similar.
  • Consultancy Background: Consultancy background, preferably in residential largescale new build.
  • MRICS or Working Towards: MRICS or working towards.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: £35,000 - £55,000.
  • Car Allowance: £4.3k - £5.2k.
