The Advanced Clinical Pharmacy Specialist role at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust presents a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to lead the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services, including antimicrobial stewardship and infection management. This position requires a strong background in clinical pharmacy, with expertise in the areas of HIV and antimicrobials, and infection management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing clinical pharmacy policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring safe and effective use of antimicrobials and antiretrovirals. They will also contribute to the organization's wider antimicrobial surveillance program, promoting appropriate antimicrobial prescribing and education. This role involves working closely with various multidisciplinary teams, including the Consultant Pharmacist Antimicrobial Stewardship, Lead Pharmacist for Paediatrics and Sexual Health, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity, and effectiveness at all levels. A Master's Degree (or equivalent) in Pharmacy, current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council, Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy Certificate, Non-medical prescriber status, and previous experience in senior pharmacy management are essential requirements. The estimated salary for this role is £52,000 - £62,000 per annum, which includes a Recruitment & Retention Premia (RRP) totalling £5,000, payable upon appointment.
