This role involves managing costs, ensuring projects are delivered within budget, and providing commercial support for complex HV transmission and distribution projects across the UK.

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled professional to join our team as a Project Cost Manager. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for managing costs, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting of project costs, and providing detailed cost analysis to ensure financial transparency. Your expertise will also involve preparing, reviewing, and managing cost estimates, budgets, and valuations for high voltage projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and manage cost estimates, budgets, and valuations for high voltage projects.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting of project costs.
  • Procurement management: Engage with subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing procurement processes.
  • Cost management: Track variations, manage change control, and provide detailed cost analysis to ensure financial transparency.
  • Provide regular commercial reports and updates to senior management and key stakeholders, including cash flow forecasts and risk analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with National Grid contract terms, safety standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Work closely with project teams to deliver successful projects.

Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a permanent contract. The location is South East, with hybrid working arrangements between site and home.
