We are seeking an experienced Section Planner to work on a contracting basis across the whole of Kent, based out of Ashford. This contract will be 6 months long initially.

The Role:

This role would suit an existing Section Planner, or someone with extensive prior experience as a Possessions Planner. The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Compile and maintain infrastructure maintenance documentation.
  • Lead and manage weekly Plan-Do-Review sessions
  • Act on behalf of Section Managers during planning meetings.
  • Prepare draft versions of quarterly plans.
  • Develop Safe System of Work plans.
  • Submit requests for green zone access and isolation.
  • Organise and optimise all assigned tasks for the section.
  • Update systems, databases, and records with precision as needed.


Essential Requirements:

A strong background in producing work plans and optimising resources is essential. Core Planning Skills Level 2 is also required, as well as experience with scheduling profiles in work planning/scheduling systems. Proficiency in the Safe System of Work Planning Process and System is necessary, along with an understanding of access and possession procedures and systems. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational abilities are also important.

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience.
