About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Recovery Support Worker to join our team at Change Grow Live. As a key member of our Homeless Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with substance misuse to achieve recovery and lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning for service users, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs and goals.
  • Develop and deliver structured content within group settings, promoting social reintegration and recovery among service users.
  • Collaborate with co-facilitators to review progress, identify concerns, and adapt workshops to meet the evolving needs of service users.
  • Engage with service users to support their recovery journey, promoting resilience, peer support, and self-determination.
  • Contribute to the development of subject matter and materials for groups/pods, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and optimal outcomes for service users.
About You:

We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience working within a similar field. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and external partners.

  • Proven experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, including conflict or challenging behavior.
  • Excellent time management and prioritizing skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice.
  • Ability to manage change successfully, prioritizing the needs of service users.
  • Commitment to information governance processes and a willingness to follow necessary safeguards.
