About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our client's finance department in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of credit control processes and working closely with the Finance Director and other teams to manage credit control operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chase Overdue Invoices: Utilize various communication methods to chase overdue invoices, ensuring timely payment and minimizing debt.
  • Credit Control Operations: Coordinate with different departments and customers to assist with the goods receipt process, post and allocate customer receipts, and upload customer invoices for accurate record-keeping.
  • Debt Recovery: Handle customer credit application forms, address queries, and reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Credit Limit Management: Raise and allocate customer credit notes, amend customer credit limits, and perform debtors reconciliations to optimize credit control.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide input in weekly debtors meetings to track and manage outstanding debts, maintain daily funds received and availability spreadsheets, and update exchange rates in the internal sales program.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist the purchase ledger department with holiday cover and workload, facilitate the management and reconciliation of invoice discounting ledgers, and perform general administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in credit control or an accounts/finance-based role.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively chase overdue invoices and address customer queries.
  • Financial Software: Proficiency in using financial software and systems, such as Sage Intacct, is advantageous.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate record-keeping.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and coordinate with various departments.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
