Job Title: Band 7 Counselling Psychologist

Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Band 7 Counselling Psychologist to join our team as a Liaison Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, bridging the interface between the Personality Disorder Service (PDS) and our core teams.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside mental health practitioners in the core team to offer joint assessment and review of service users with personality disorder or complex emotional needs.
  • Provide consultation, training, and joint working to support the implementation of Structured Clinical Management.
  • Manage a small caseload within the PDS Therapies Team, offering individual and group psychological interventions within the therapeutic models delivered within the service.
About the Role:

This role requires a flexible approach, recognizing the varied skills and experience of mental health practitioners within the core team. You will work closely with the CEN Psychologists in the team to support the implementation of Structured Clinical Management and provide clinical supervision to Assistant, Trainee, and Band 7 Psychologists at the Personality Disorder Service.

Person Specification:
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology as accredited by the Health Professions Council.
  • Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups and presenting psychologically informed advice in an accessible manner.
  • Ability to teach and train others, using a variety of multi-media materials suitable for presentations within public, professional, and academic settings.
