We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Highly Specialist Practitioner Psychologist to join our Department of Haematology at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
As a designated specialist centre for patients with haemoglobinopathies, we care for over 800 adults with sickle cell disease. The postholder will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with consultant haematologists, specialist nurses, a social worker, junior doctors, and a Band 7 practitioner psychologist.
Main Duties- Provide specialist psychology services to adults with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia, including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of outcomes.
- Offer operational line management and clinical supervision to the Band 7 psychologist.
- Entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology, accepted by the HCPC for professional registration.
- Additional training in a specialized area of psychological practice.
- Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Evidence of working with people with medical conditions as a clinical specialist under supervision.
