We are seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist Psychologist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Specialist Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychological services to adults with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia.
Main Duties:- Provide specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of outcomes for adults with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia.
- Operational line management and clinical supervision of the Band 7 psychologist.
- Work as an autonomous professional within BPS and HCPC guidelines and codes of conduct.
- Entry-level qualification in Applied Psychology (professional Doctorate, or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level additional training) that has been accepted by the HCPC for purposes of professional registration.
- Additional training in a specialised area of psychological practice through formal post-qualification training (PG Diploma or equivalent).
- Completed training course in clinical supervision.
- Registered with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist, and evidence of continuing professional development as required by the HCPC.
We offer a supportive and innovative work environment, with established support structures in place, including regular clinical supervision and close working relationships from across departments within King's College Hospital.
As a Clinical Specialist Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, including consultant haematologists, specialist nurses, a social worker, a team of junior doctors, and a Band 7 practitioner psychologist.
