Head of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Low Carbon Contracts Company as the Head of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the company's communications strategy and ensuring that our key messages are effectively deployed across multiple channels to a diverse set of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives. This will include creating and disseminating key messages, identifying and engaging with stakeholders, and measuring the effectiveness of our communications efforts.
Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government ministers, trade bodies, industry leaders, and the media. This will involve developing and maintaining a stakeholder engagement plan, identifying opportunities for engagement, and ensuring that our messaging is consistent and effective.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of communications professionals, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure that they have the skills and expertise needed to deliver exceptional results. This will include developing and implementing training programs, conducting performance reviews, and making recommendations for promotions or other personnel actions.
Results-Focused: Demonstrate a results-focused approach, with a strong emphasis on measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of our communications efforts. This will involve developing and implementing metrics and benchmarks, analyzing data, and making recommendations for improvement.

The Low Carbon Contracts Company exists to help decarbonise the generation of electricity and make it more affordable for the future. Our work is central to the delivery of the Government's objective to achieve Net Zero target by 2050. We manage the Contracts for Difference (CfDs) scheme, which are agreements we have made with renewable generators.
