Job Description

As a Stakeholder Engagement Manager Green Finance, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of the Mayor's net zero 2030 target. You will work closely with the Head of Climate Change and Green Finance Senior Programme Manager to identify and support investment opportunities that can be financed by the Mayor's London Climate Finance Facility.

You will be responsible for maintaining a stakeholder engagement plan, liaising with stakeholders to communicate the green finance programme aims, support mechanisms, and processes. You will also help the team develop strategic engagement with the investment community, focusing on private sector investment.

  • Engage and liaise with stakeholders to communicate the green finance programme aims, processes, and information needs.
  • Help institutions access existing and expanded technical assistance through the project life cycle.
  • Ensure projects are effectively developed and delivered by working with the wider Environment team, key GLA teams, and governance.
  • Navigate internal stakeholders effectively, including procurement processes, monitoring, review, and governance.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of delivery approaches in line with Mayoral priorities and GLA decision-making frameworks.
  • Provide policy advice and support to senior managers and Assembly Members on matters within the area of responsibility.
  • Prepare and present reports, briefs, and recommendations on key issues and actions to facilitate executive understanding and decision making.
Person Specification

Strong experience of stakeholder engagement management, including resolving complex issues effectively and efficiently.

Experience managing a range of private and public stakeholder relationships.

  • Experience in, or knowledge of, green finance.
