About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Analyst to join our team at the Green Finance Institute. As an Environmental Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Built Environment Programme's strategy and contributing to the development of financial products needed to decarbonise homes and green the UK's housing stock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Built Environment Programme Director in day-to-day tasks and undertake research and analysis to inform programme strategy.
  • Collaborate with industry, government, civil society, and academia to grow the green mortgages and unsecured green home finance markets.
  • Work closely with the BEP team associates and campaign leads to support the programme's work on heat decarbonisation and other key initiatives.
  • Develop high-quality presentations to support the programme's work and communicate complex information to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • High attention to detail and strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, capable of handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationships building skills, with the ability to distil and interpret complex information.
  • High level of proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable:

  • Interest in UK environmental policy and green or sustainable finance qualification or experience.
