Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Environmental Consultant to join our London-based team at A1 Personnel. This is a hybrid role with one day per week in the office and the rest of the time working remotely.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) and a strong understanding of environmental assessments, contaminated land evaluation, and risk assessments. You'll work on property transactions for institutional investors, property investment funds, and M&A projects, primarily focused on environmental reporting for property purchases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist senior consultants with day-to-day EDD tasks, with a particular focus on construction reporting and environmental reports related to property purchases.
  • Conduct environmental site inspections and help produce high-quality, timely EDD reports for a variety of assets, including light industrial, retail, and residential properties.
  • Support the collation, organization, and review of data and reports.
  • Specialize in Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments, including due diligence for acquisitions and investments, ensuring comprehensive environmental risk evaluation.
  • Co-audit alongside senior auditors, with opportunities to transition into lone auditing roles over time.
Requirements
  • A degree in environmental sciences or a related discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Environmental Due Diligence, particularly in Phase 1 assessments.
  • Excellent proficiency in Word, Excel, and general IT tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a confident, proactive attitude.
  • A valid driving license is required for site visits.
