About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Environmental Solutions team at Commodity Insights, where you will play a key role in facilitating the implementation of new environmental markets, helping existing markets evolve and mature, and enabling connectivity between markets. As an Environmental Solutions Business Analyst, you will be responsible for writing and maintaining functional and technical business requirements documents, collaborating with clients to drive and develop detailed business requirements deliverables, and utilizing business improvement techniques to deliver throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Write and maintain functional and technical business requirements documents for the Environmental Solutions domain.
  2. Collaborate with clients through working sessions to drive and develop detailed business requirements deliverables.
  3. Utilize business improvement techniques, requirements elicitation and management, and business modeling.
  4. Deliver throughout the software development lifecycle utilizing project management methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
  5. Review and analyze data components to answer client queries and liaise with Technical, Product, and Operations teams as required.
Requirements:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in the carbon markets and/or financial technology company. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' professional work experience in a product or analytical role, experience in writing business and technical requirements documentation and process modelling, and an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in relevant subjects such as Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Environmental Economics, Development Economics or Environmental Sciences or relevant work experience. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in environmental markets (carbon, water, biodiversity, renewable energy) and proficiency in Microsoft Office; particularly Excel and Project.
