We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Environmental Data Analyst to join our team at Intellect Group. As a key member of our environmental team, you will play a crucial role in transforming environmental data into actionable insights.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental and climate-related data, with the ability to interpret large datasets. You will be responsible for analysing and interpreting environmental and geospatial datasets using tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and Python.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and interpret environmental and geospatial datasets to support major projects, including carbon offset initiatives, climate risk analysis, and geospatial data management.
  • Develop models and visualisations for environmental projects, including carbon offsetting, climate resilience, and sustainability reporting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental impact assessments, climate risk evaluations, and natural resource management studies.
  • Support data collection, cleaning, and validation processes to ensure high-quality datasets.
  • Prepare clear, engaging reports, dashboards, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Data Science, or a related field from a Russell Group university.
  • Experience using geospatial analysis tools such as ArcGIS and QGIS.
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of environmental and climate-related data, with the ability to interpret large datasets.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail.
