Job Summary

Anord Mardix, a leading global manufacturer of switchgear and associated products, is seeking a skilled Supplier Development Engineer to join our team in Blackburn.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth. As a Supplier Development Engineer, you will provide cross-functional support to select, approve, and develop suppliers to meet customer and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select suitable suppliers based on quality, capability, pricing, delivery, environment, and social regulation requirements.
  • Implement new supplier qualification processes, including capability matching, supplier risk assessment, and onsite qualification audits.
  • Develop and implement Value-Added Engineering Activities to optimize supplier manufacturing processes and products.
  • Qualify materials and components, including PPAP, FAI, and material certificates.
  • Track pilot run quality performance and drive supplier corrective actions.
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Supplier Development Engineer.
  • Experience working in a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing company.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Quality qualification is an advantage.
  • Good technical capabilities, investigative abilities, and initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
