Job Summary

Anord Mardix, a global leader in critical power solutions, is seeking a skilled Supplier Development Engineer to join our team in Blackburn. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for selecting, approving, and developing suppliers to meet customer and business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select suitable suppliers through a joint effort with sourcing on aspects of quality, capability, pricing, delivery, environment, and society regulation.
  • Implement new supplier qualification through a process of capability matching, supplier risk assessment, supplier self-assessment, onsite qualification audit, and qualification database management.
  • Understand customer drawings and specifications to provide value-added engineering proposals to customers and suppliers for optimization of supplier manufacturing processes or products.
  • Implement PPAP (FAI) and track new qualified parts quality performance to ensure they meet customer quality requirements in pilot run phase.
  • Drive supplier corrective action from suppliers in pilot runs and smoothly transfer pilot runs to mass production.
  • Rate and track supplier performance and drive supplier continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Supplier Development Engineer with strong supplier management experience.
  • Experience in working within a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing company.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Quality qualification would be an advantage.
  • Good technical capabilities, investigative abilities, and initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
