Job Summary

Anord Mardix, a leading manufacturer of switchgear and associated products, is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to join our team in Blackburn. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for selecting, approving, and developing suppliers to meet customer and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select suitable suppliers based on quality, capability, pricing, delivery, and environmental considerations.
  • Implement new supplier qualification processes, including capability matching, supplier risk assessment, and onsite qualification audits.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address supply chain risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier development, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and supplier development processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address supply chain risks and opportunities.
