About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our team as the Vice President, Last Mile Operations. This newly created role is critical in driving tangible performance improvements across our global network of partners. With nearly 50,000 routes and 700,000 deliveries per week worldwide, you will have a significant impact on the Last Mile operations, optimising the benefits for both our partners and our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Develop the Last Mile Team: Build and develop a team of Last Mile specialists who can analyse, advise, and support our partners in improving their Last Mile operations.
  • Drive Performance Improvement: Identify and implement strategies that deliver measurable improvements in Last Mile performance, enhancing our partners' profitability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Work closely with regional Partner Success Directors and account owners to deliver comprehensive plans for improvement.
  • Define the Future of Last Mile Operations: Develop and articulate the vision for Last Mile operations for both Ocado and its partners, setting a roadmap for future success.
  • Align with Partner Success Functions: Collaborate with teams in Partner Economics, E-commerce, Customer Fulfilment Centers (CFC), and In-Store Fulfilment (ISF) to create integrated, cross-functional plans that maximise partner value.
  • Engage with Technology Teams: Prioritise and advocate for technological solutions that can unlock the greatest opportunities for our partners.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Support the Last Mile team in developing advisory skills and capabilities to ensure they can effectively drive change in complex retail environments.
  • Contribute to Partner Success Leadership: Play an active role in the Partner Success leadership team, shaping the direction and success of the broader function
About You
  • Extensive Last Mile Experience: Proven track record in leading Last Mile operations in a complex, multi-partner environment, preferably in retail or logistics.
  • Strong Client-Facing Skills: Ability to manage relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, driving change and delivering results.
  • Strategic Vision and Execution: Experience in developing and implementing strategies that improve performance and efficiency across large-scale operations.
  • Leadership and Team Building: Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working in a matrixed environment, aligning different functions to deliver on shared objectives.
