School Operations Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the delivery of efficient, effective, and professional administrative support in an integrated School encompassing Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Astronomy, and Mathematics. This will involve working closely with the Dean, School Executive Group, and senior academic managers to ensure the smooth operation of the School.
The role will require the management of all aspects of School-based administration, including human resources, governance, events management, admissions, marketing, business continuity, and planning. The successful candidate will also be responsible for acting as a single point of contact and liaising with other departments across the university to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Key Skills and Experience- Substantial proven administrative experience at an appropriate level, including experience of monitoring and evaluating services.
- Proven experience of working with a wide range of people in a customer-focused environment, including supporting committees and working groups.
- Existing management experience, including quality assurance processes.
- Ability to outline experience of managing work activities that require high-level collaborative working, time management, and negotiating skills.
- Experience of promoting equality, diversity, and staff wellbeing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels, with both written and oral communication.
- Proven organisational skills and ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
The successful candidate must hold a minimum of a Degree or an equivalent qualification, or have proven administrative experience. The role requires the ability to use digital media to a highly competent level, including software such as Microsoft Office, the internet, and other technologies for communication and information purposes.
