Main Responsibilities

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Deputy Dean of School, providing leadership and management expertise to support the strategic business unit. The successful candidate will contribute to the Schools of Law and Education by developing and implementing school plans to achieve the highest standards of learning and teaching, research, knowledge transfer, scholarship, and student experience.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Developing and implementing school plans to achieve strategic objectives
  • Leading the operationalisation of the school's strategic plans
  • Providing executive oversight for particular functions of the school's work
  • Working closely with the Dean and Associate Deans to achieve school success

Requirements

  • Proven senior level management and leadership skills
  • Knowledge and expertise within one of the school's discipline areas
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK Higher Education regulation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to influence and harness the talent of others
  • Highly competent in analysing multiple sources of data to achieve evidence informed decision making

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject to the school's disciplinary areas
  • Doctorate in a relevant subject, or substantial industrial or academic experience
