About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee and ensure the provision of all clerical officer duties within the Radiology Directorate to provide an efficient and effective service to the directorate and the University Health Board.

The post holder will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day running of all reception and clerical areas, ensuring a smooth and efficient service, and prioritizing the allocation of staff and work as needed.

The ideal candidate will have previous administrative and clerical experience, preferably working in a hospital-based role or related service within the NHS, and will possess excellent communication skills, data entry/keyboard skills, and experience of using computer packages such as Excel and Word.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day running of all reception and clerical areas
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient service, prioritizing the allocation of staff and work as needed
  • Provide support to ensure the smooth running of the On-Call rota
  • Ensure the rota is covered and runs smoothly, including covering late evenings, nights, and weekends, including cover for annual leave and absence for all reception and clerical areas
