About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Turning Point. As a key member of our Substance Use Treatment Service, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with complex needs, including those with dual diagnosis.

Working closely with our Principal Practitioner Psychologist, you will develop and implement bespoke care packages to meet the unique needs of each service user. Your expertise will be essential in linking with mental health services within the district to ensure that disadvantaged individuals receive the necessary support for their well-being.

As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for managing a small caseload of clients, providing low-level interventions, and signposting to relevant services. You will also be involved in complex case meetings to review clients' mental health needs with other professionals.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about recovery and has a strong understanding of mental health issues, including knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Care Programme Approach. You will need to be able to assess and manage risks related to both mental health difficulties and substance consumption.
