Senior Mental Health Practitioner - Wakefield

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our all-age Substance Use Treatment Service in Wakefield. This role will work closely with our Principal Practitioner Psychologist to provide bespoke support and care packages to individuals with Dual Diagnosis needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to support clients with complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support and coordination of care.
  • Provide training and supervision to junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of service policies and procedures to ensure best practice.
  • Engage with service users, families, and carers to promote recovery and well-being.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychology or RMN or CQSW/DipSW or Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience of working with individuals with Dual Diagnosis and complex mental health needs.
  • Strong understanding of recovery models and approaches.
  • Ability to assess and manage risks related to mental health difficulties and substance consumption.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
