Senior Mental Health Practitioner - Wakefield

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in Wakefield, providing support to individuals with Dual Diagnosis needs. This role will work closely with our Principal Practitioner Psychologist to develop bespoke care packages and ensure seamless integration with local Mental Health Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for clients with Dual Diagnosis needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support and referrals to relevant mental health services.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior staff members.
  • Contribute to the development of our Dual Diagnosis offer and Safeguarding policies.
  • Attend complex case meetings to review clients' mental health needs and develop strategies for improvement.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychology or RMN or CQSW/DipSW or Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working in the community, with a strong understanding of recovery models and mental health issues.
  • Ability to assess and manage risks related to mental health difficulties and substance consumption.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
