Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Senior Housing Officer. As a key member of our Great Places Housing Group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality housing and estate management services to our valued customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collect rent and support customers to reduce arrears
  • Allocate vacant properties to new customers
  • Investigate incidents of anti-social behaviour and take proportionate tenancy enforcement action when needed
  • Understand customers' individual needs and make relevant links with support organisations
  • Build strong relationships with local stakeholders and partners

Requirements

  • Commitment to continued professional development
  • Experience of working in the housing sector or a similar role is desirable
  • An understanding of estate and tenancy management and experience of delivering a range of tenancy management related services is desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organise, time-manage and prioritise workload in a hybrid environment
  • Proven relationship builder with experience of effective collaborative working with external agencies and partners
  • Ability to coach customers to empower them to problem solve and become more independent
  • Adaptable to use a range of Customer Relationship Management software systems
  • Proficient in the use of the full range of Microsoft Office applications
  • Hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for use at work
